For clinicians

What happens between sessions
shapes the outcome.

Soma Care delivers evidence-based support in the hours your patients aren’t with you — reinforcing what you start in the clinic, without replacing the relationship at the center of it.

The clinical case

Between sessions, outcomes are still being shaped.

7 days

average gap between appointments

Thoughts, mood, and withdrawal from activity all unfold in the space you cannot reach. Soma Care is there.

1 in 4

patients access evidence-based pain care

The majority of patients never receive evidence-based non-pharmacological treatment for chronic pain despite strong clinical guidelines. We extend that access.

80%+

of patients want self-management tools

Patients want agency. Soma Care turns that desire into structured, clinically grounded action — not just a diary or wellness app.

Referral pathway

Minimal friction. Complete visibility.

01

Refer a patient

Share a referral link with your patient for quick access. They can start straight away — no account setup or EMR integration needed during the beta.

02

Patient completes intake

Soma Care runs an intelligent intake — pain history, lifestyle and functional impact, and what matters most to the patient. A structured summary for care providers is coming in the full release.

03

Personalised program begins

The patient starts a sequenced program of evidence-based interventions, adapted in real time based on engagement and progress signals.

04

Progress reports to you

Optional periodic summaries — session completion, mood trends, and flagged concerns — are on the roadmap for full release. The therapeutic relationship stays yours.

Evidence base

Built on what actually works.

Every intervention is grounded in peer-reviewed evidence — frameworks with decades of clinical research behind them.

CBT-P

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Pain

The most extensively studied psychological intervention for chronic pain. Soma Care delivers structured CBT-P modules adapted for between-session use, reinforcing skills learned in clinical sessions.

Williams et al., Lancet (2012)

PNE

Pain Neuroscience Education

Reconceptualising how patients understand pain signals reduces fear-avoidance and improves function. Soma Care embeds PNE principles throughout the program, not as a single session.

Moseley & Butler, Phys Ther (2015)

ACT

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Helps patients live fully and act on what matters to them — even when pain is present. Strong evidence for reducing pain-related distress and disability. Our ACT content focuses on psychological flexibility and values-based action.

Vowles & McCracken, J Consult Clin Psychol (2008)

BA

Behavioural Activation

Addresses the pain-inactivity-mood cycle with structured, graded activity engagement. Particularly effective where chronic pain co-presents with low mood or depression.

Dimidjian et al., J Consult Clin Psychol (2006)

Common questions

What care providers ask us.

Will this replace therapeutic sessions?

No. Soma Care is designed as a between-session support tool. It reinforces clinical work and extends access — it does not substitute for it.

Is the content evidence-based?

Yes. All intervention content is derived from peer-reviewed frameworks (CBT-P, ACT, PNE, Behavioural Activation) and reviewed by clinical psychologists and pain specialists.

What data do I receive about my patients?

With patient consent, you can receive session completion summaries, self-reported mood and pain trends, and any flagged concerns. The patient controls what is shared with you.

Is there a cost to care providers during the beta?

No. Care provider access and any referred patient access is entirely free during the current beta phase.
